About Essential Infusions Plus

Essential Infusions Plus is a comprehensive wellness practice specializing in Hormone Replacement, Medical Aesthetics, Weight Loss Management, IV Infusions & Injections, and Holistic & Functional Medicine Healing. Under the clinical leadership of Angelica McGough, APRN, our practice is committed to evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to support each patient’s unique health profile.

Our approach integrates functional diagnostics, targeted therapeutic interventions, and ongoing clinical evaluation to address underlying imbalances rather than just symptoms. We work to optimize hormone function, support metabolic health, enhance cellular hydration and nutrient status, and promote overall physiologic wellness.

Patients receive coordinated care from a multidisciplinary team that prioritizes measurable outcomes, individualized treatment planning, and long-term health improvement. Whether the goal is to restore hormonal balance, achieve sustainable weight loss, enhance aesthetic appearance, or improve systemic wellness, our clinical model is designed to support whole-body health and meaningful results.

At Essential Infusions Plus, we are dedicated to providing safe, personalized, and medically guided care that empowers patients to achieve optimal health and sustained well-being.

Angie, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Founder, Essential Infusions Plus

With 20 years of diverse clinical experience, I have dedicated my career to advancing patient care across emergency medicine, intensive care, hospice and palliative care, urgent care, and occupational health.  The majority of my practice has been in the inpatient setting, and I currently serve as a full-time hospitalist nurse practitioner in a suburban hospital while also leading Essential Infusions Plus.

Beyond clinical practice, I am actively involved in medical education, serving as faculty for three universities, where I teach and mentor both nursing and nurse practitioner students.  My background also includes legal consulting and clinical guideline development, reinforcing my commitment to evidence-based practice and professional advocacy.

Originally from Rochelle, Illinois, my journey in healthcare was profoundly shaped by my four years as a missionary in Mexico, where I developed a deep appreciation for community-based care and holistic health approaches.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many in our profession, I found myself questioning the limitations of conventional medicine.  This led me to functional and integrative medicine—an evidence-driven, patient-centered approach that addresses root causes rather than symptoms.

Recognizing the gap in accessible functional medicine services in my community, I founded Essential Infusions Plus to provide innovative, personalized healthcare solutions.  My team and I are committed to expanding access to integrative therapies that empower patients to take an active role in their health and longevity.

Through a combination of clinical expertise, academic achievements, and a passion for transformative care, I aim to bridge the gap between conventional and functional medicine—offering healthcare professionals and patients alike a more comprehensive approach to well-being.

Let’s push the boundaries of what healthcare can be—together.

Jenny

Office Administrative Assistant

I was a professional skydiver for the last 25 years, and now I’m excited to be helping in the health and wellness industry.

I have been with Essential Infusions since June 2022 as the office admin, and I am so excited to be working at a business like this.  I have been heavily researching health and wellness since 2004, when I became frustrated with my overall health, which was declining.

I was not finding solutions in the medical community, so I started methodically trying diet changes and natural treatments to see what worked for me.  I personally found great healing and health through a mostly raw vegan diet (which means mostly raw veggies!) and lots of raw veggie juice.  It was a 6-month road from sickly to very healthy, and it definitely wasn’t easy, but it was worth it!

Since then, my health has been so good that I even started playing with some of my favorite foods in small amounts, like a little sugar, chocolate, coffee, fish (sushi!!), eggs, etc., but I still try to keep up with lots of veggies.  I am a total believer that our God-given immune system functions amazingly when we feed it proper nutrition and practice healthy habits.

When my health was declining, I didn’t just pray; I cried out to God for help and even asked Him why He wasn’t helping me.  But He was always there, and He answered me in the form of knowledge.  I don’t even know how, but I ended up at a website about health and healing through nutrition and started building my knowledge from there, which has been a long and wonderful journey.  Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,” and Proverbs 16:16 says, “How much better to get wisdom than gold!  And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.”

God bless you on your health journey.

Beth, RN

Registered Nurse

I am a registered nurse with over 22 years of diverse nursing experience in mainstream medicine. I grew up just outside of Chicago in Elmwood Park, Illinois. After graduating from nursing school in 2000, I started out my nursing career. I practiced in long-term acute care and step-down at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois.

In 2004, I decided to take my RN experience and travel to various states around the US as a contract travel nurse. For the next six years, I enjoyed taking on new assignments wherever there was a need in Step Down or ICU. My most memorable and favorite locations I practiced were in San Diego, Phoenix, and Clearwater. There, I created memories that made traveling the highlight of my career.

During my travels in 2008, I decided to follow my long-time passion for skin care and wellness. I went back to school and graduated from the Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove, IL, and became a Licensed Aesthetician. I gained most of my aesthetic experience over the next 3 years. Then I was asked to assist a cardiothoracic surgeon in opening and running a popular med spa in Chicago. There I became certified and proficient in Botox, fillers, and laser therapy, while building a substantial clientele.

In 2011, while still in love with the world of aesthetics, I accepted an irresistible offer at the University of Illinois in Chicago, working in the Outpatient Ambulatory Care Center, where  I worked for the next 10+ years. After a long run in a teaching hospital, practicing main stream, my desire for natural medicine was increasing, and I just knew I had more to offer.

In 2018, my thoughts and beliefs hit home. I witnessed how integrative medicine and prayer helped heal my very own father from inoperable stage IV metastatic kidney cancer. Currently, he is on zero medication and still doing fantastic, after being given only one year to live (4 years ago!).

My father’s miraculous recovery and working through the COVID pandemic brought to light the endless possibilities of how alternative medicine, or a “natural approach”, could, in fact, optimize patient outcomes. The camaraderie and long-term relationships were hard to give up; however, my faith in Jesus, prayer, and love for Integrative Medicine have led me to where I am today.

Brooke, R.T.(R)(ARRT)

Wellness Advocate

Hi, I’m Brooke! I’ve been happily married to my husband, Rich, for 24 years, and I’m a proud mom to two amazing adult children.

For over 20 years, I worked as a radiographer in a traditional hospital setting, where I developed a deep passion for patient care and building meaningful relationships.  While I loved serving others in that role, I felt called to explore a new path—one that aligned more closely with my personal beliefs about health and wellness.  That journey led me to Essential Infusions Plus.

I have always embraced a natural, holistic approach to health for both myself and my family.  I firmly believe in alternative and functional medicine as the first line of defense when it comes to achieving and maintaining overall wellness.  Joining the EIP team allows me to combine my medical expertise with my passion for personalized, patient-centered care.  I’m so excited to be part of this incredible team and to support you on your wellness journey.

Come say hi—you never know what you might learn, and I’ll be here to take great care of you!

Brooke

Tracey, RN

Registered Nurse

I am excited to join this amazing team at Essential Infusions Plus.  I have been a registered nurse for 23 years. I became a nurse because of the amazing care I received from a nurse.  I have always been drawn to new life.  I have worked in Labor and Delivery for my entire career and am currently employed part-time at Northwestern Medicine at Delnor Hospital.

Five years ago, I started to become interested in what I was putting into my body. Yes, my diet.  I became familiar with Whole30, which focuses on removing inflammatory foods from the diet.  I saw drastic changes in my monthly migraines.  In the past year I removed gluten from my diet and have seen great benefits in my health, such as decreased joint pain, fewer GI symptoms, and an increase in energy.  We underestimate what we put into our bodies and the short- and long-term effects it has on our health.  You cannot put water in your gas tank and expect your car to run well.

When Angie approached me about joining the team, I was so excited to learn more about how I could assist my immune system in functioning the way God intended.

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 says, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?  You are not your own; you were bought at a price.  Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

These last few years have really been eye-opening as a health care worker.  Never before have I needed to be healthy, starting with diet and exercise, because these are things we can control.

So here I am, ready to help you on your health journey, maybe even help you “deliver” a new you in 2025!

God Bless,

Tracey

Kim, RN

Registered Nurse

For the past 13 years, I have worked as a Critical Care Nurse on the night shift in the west suburbs, where I had the privilege of meeting and working alongside Angie, the founder of Essential Infusions Plus.

My journey into functional medicine began as a personal mission—to take control of my own health through personalized care and evidence-based strategies. I believe in the power of nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and education to foster long-term well-being and help individuals feel their best.

At Essential Infusions Plus, I am passionate about building strong relationships with my patients and guiding them on their health journey with compassion, understanding, and support. Alongside an incredible team, I take a holistic approach to care, exploring the interconnectedness of body systems to create customized wellness plans that promote vitality and resilience.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me chauffeuring my three kids to their many activities and cheering them on as they pursue their passions. With our busy schedules, that keeps me on my toes—but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I look forward to helping you achieve your health goals and supporting you on your wellness journey.

Chelsey, RN

Registered Nurse

Hi! I’m Chelsey, and I’ve been an RN since 2009, with experience in rehab, Med Surg, home health, and hospice. Through my journey, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the gaps in healthcare and the importance of being your own advocate in your health. Working in hospice has reignited my passion for sharing health prevention strategies in our community, as I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of disease taking lives too soon.

One of the most memorable comments a patient said to me recently was, “if I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of my body.” This resonates deeply, inspiring me to encourage others to wholeheartedly focus on their health. In today’s world, where toxins abound, it’s crucial we prioritize self-care and be proactive. I believe we all have the capacity to influence our health outcomes; by adopting healthy habits and being mindful of our lifestyle choices, we can significantly reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

I’m thrilled to be part of Essential Infusions, where I have been helping individuals and families navigate holistic health solutions and informed lifestyle choices. I hope to help you in the future to focus on your own health and work to be the best version of yourself.

Cheers to health!

Susan, MSN, APN, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

I have dedicated my 32-year career of clinical expertise to advancing patient care in several areas, including urgent care, gastroenterology, rheumatology, obstetrics and gynecology, primary care, emergency medicine, and aesthetics. I currently work as an emergency department NP while joining Essential Infusions Plus, a regenerative medicine practice focused on innovative, personalized care.

Beyond clinical practice, I am involved in medical education through Chamberlain University, teaching NP students, and I have also mentored many NP students over the past 17 years. Originally from Sycamore, Illinois, my journey in healthcare has evolved over time, and I have reached a point where I understand that there are limitations to conventional medicine, which has led me to functional medicine, an evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms. I am proud to be joining Essential Infusions Plus, where I can combine my broad clinical background with my passion for helping patients live their best lives through longevity, wellness, and a deeper understanding of their health.

I will continue to inspire and empower patients to take an active role in their health and well-being through a range of innovative modalities, including regenerative therapies. By blending clinical expertise with a comprehensive, root-cause-based approach, I am honored to offer my patients personalized solutions that support healing, vitality, and long-term wellness.
