I’m Angie, owner of Essential Infusions Plus. Proud wife and mama to 5 amazing teenagers! I am a board certified nurse practitioner with 20 years experience in health care, including emergency room, intensive care, hospice and palliative care, urgent care, and occupational health. The majority of my life in health care has been spent in the hospital. I continue to work full time as a hospitalist nurse practitioner in a suburban hospital at night. I have also done some legal consulting, nurse guideline writing and I teach nurse and nurse practitioner students for 3 universities across the country.

I was born and raised in Rochelle, a rural town in northern Illinois.  I know very well many of you have known me since birth, and can speak to my personal health struggles throughout my life. I really felt a calling to nursing in the 4 years I spent as a missionary in Mexico. I continue to feel a calling to give people different ways to help their lives proactively in order to live their unique purpose better, more fuller, and with more function throughout their lifespan.

I became passionate about alternative and functional medicine throughout Covid. For so many of us in healthcare, we have been seeking answers outside normal western medicine as we lived and worked through the trauma of covid, and saw the challenges with “normal healthcare”.

I wanted to start in Rochelle and the surrounding areas as there are very limited services for my community. I continue to expand my boundaries so to help as many as I can.

I have carefully and prayerfully selected a team that feels the same calling as I do. We are committed to serving you all! Check out their bios as well!

Thanks for listening! Come see us sometime!

Office Admin

Jenny

I was a professional skydiver for last 25 years, and now I’m excited to be helping in the health and wellness industry.

I have been with Essential Infusions since June 2022 as the office admin, and I am so excited to be working at a business like this. I have been heavily researching health and wellness since 2004, when I became frustrated with my overall health… which was declining.

I was not finding solutions in the medical community, so I started methodically trying diet changes and natural treatments to see what worked for me. I personally found great healing and health through a mostly raw vegan diet (which means mostly raw veggies!), and lots of raw veggie juice. It was a 6 month road from sickly to very healthy, and it definitely wasn’t easy, but it was worth it!

Since then, my health has been so good that I even started playing with some of my favorite foods in small amounts, like: a little sugar, chocolate, coffee, fish (sushi!!), eggs, etc, but I still try to keep up with lots of veggies. I am a total believer that our God-given immune system functions amazingly when we feed it proper nutrition, and practice healthy habits.

When my health was declining, I didn’t just pray, I cried out to God for help and even asked Him why He wasn’t helping me. But He was always there, and He answered me in the form of knowledge. I don’t even know how, but I ended up at a website about health and healing through nutrition, and started building my knowledge from there, which has been a long and wonderful journey. Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” and Proverbs 16:16 says “How much better to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.”

God bless you on your health journey.

Beth, RN

Beth

My name is Beth Luchesi-Komprood, RN.

I am a registered nurse with over 22 years of diverse nursing experience in mainstream medicine. I grew up just outside of Chicago in Elmwood Park, Illinois. After graduating from nursing school in 2000, I started out my nursing career. I practiced in long-term acute care and Step Down at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois.

An RN On the Go

In 2004, I decided to take my RN experience and travel to various states around the US as a contract travel nurse. For the next six years, I enjoyed taking on new assignments, wherever there was a need in Step Down or ICU. My most memorable and favorite locations I practiced were in San Diego, Phoenix, and Clearwater. There I created memories that made traveling the highlight of my career.

Following My Passion

During my travels in 2008, I decided to follow my long-time passion for skin care and wellness. I went back to school and graduated from the Universal Spa Training Academy in Downers Grove, IL, and became a Licensed Aesthetician. I gained most of my aesthetic experience over the next 3 years. Then I was asked to assist a Cardio Thoracic Surgeon in opening up and running a popular med spa in Chicago. There I became certified and proficient in Botox, fillers, and laser therapy, while building a substantial clientele.

An Offer I Couldn’t Refuse

In 2011, while still in love with the world of aesthetics, I accepted an irresistible offer at the University of Illinois in Chicago, working in the Outpatient Ambulatory Care Center where  I worked for the next 10+ years. After a long run in a teaching hospital, practicing main stream, my desire for natural medicine was increasing, and I just knew I had more to offer.

Integrative Medicine Hits Home

In 2018, my thoughts and beliefs hit home. I witnessed how integrative medicine and prayer helped heal my very own father from inoperable stage IV metastatic kidney cancer. Currently, he is on zero medication and still doing fantastic, after being given only one year to live (4 years ago!).

My Father’s Recovery Leads Me to a ‘Natural Approach’

My father’s miraculous recovery and working through the Covid pandemic, brought to light the endless possibilities of how alternative medicine, or a “natural approach”, could in fact optimize patient outcomes. The camaraderie and long-term relationships were hard to give up, however, my faith in Jesus, prayer, and love for Integrative Medicine, have led me here to where I am today.

Family Time With Our Doodle

My husband Jeff and I reside in Rockford, where we have adopted our nieces Brooke and Olivia. We also have an Australian Labradoodle, Callie-Jean, who has become our family mascot. I am excited to be able to practice aesthetics again and walk alongside you through your wellness journey.

Tracey, RN

Tracey

I am excited to join this amazing team at Essential Infusions Plus. I have been a Registered nurse for 23 years. I became a nurse because of the amazing care I received from a nurse. I have always been drawn to new life. I have worked in Labor and Delivery for my entire career and am currently employed part time at Northwestern Medicines Delnor hospital.

Five years ago I started to become interested in what I was putting into my body, yes my diet. Food. I became familiar with Whole30, which focuses on removing inflammatory foods from the diet. I saw drastic changed in monthly migraines. In the past year I removed gluten from my diet and have seen great benefits in my health, such as decreased joint pain, less GI symptoms and an increase in energy. We underestimate what we put into our bodies and the short and long term effect it has on our health. You cannot put water in your gas tank and expect your car to run well.

When Angie approached me about joining the team, I was so excited to learn more about how I could assist my immune system in functioning the way God intended.

1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

These last few years have really been eye opening as a health care worker. Never before have I needed to be healthy; starting with diet and exercise because these are things we can control.

So here I am, ready to help you on your health journey, maybe even help you, deliver” a new you in 2023!

God Bless,

Tracey Horner Etheridge RN

Katie Scanlan

Having spent the last years in long term care, and especially during a pandemic, making the change to something restorative and regenerative is where my passion and skills can intersect.

I’m honored to be part of a subsection of nursing where compassion and prevention is utilized, instead of numbers driven medicine.

I really enjoy doing Botox, because I want my clients, to look good, and feel good about themselves!

Personal Trainer

Mike

Let’s take a moment to meet our Coach and Certified Personal Trainer – Mike! He is here to help you identify problem areas and get you moving! He works closely with our weight loss patients, men’s hormone patients and some of your peptide patients. He has a love for fitness as he has been on his own journey through the years. Read a bit more about him here:

I am a husband and father, Life Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, Health & Wellness Director of a YMCA in Missouri, and Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Foursquare Church. My family spent over 13 years in the Philippines as missionaries, and all of my three children were born there.

I love helping people achieve their goals. One of my missions in life is to help others overcome barriers and reach their full potential. At 19 years old I was 350 pounds, I couldn’t run or even walk right. This caused both of my feet to fracture, as well as some lingering problems in my knees and joints. However, I was determined to live life to the fullest so I lost 130 lbs, I work out at least 5 times a week, and I love playing basketball. My journey wasn’t easy, and it took several years to get where I am today, but it is worth it. Each and every step, worth it.

I am all about balance in life, and I will try to bring a holistic approach to everything we say and do. I look forward to working with you.

I was born and have lived in the Northern Illinois area my whole life. I currently reside in Sycamore, with my husband of twenty years. We have four children, two daughters, and two sons, who are all young adults. I have two beloved dogs, Marshall and Holly.

I’ve always had a passion for caring for people. I became a certified nursing assistant in high school and some years later, a medical assistant. At that time, I worked with a family practice doctor who took a more holistic approach to medicine and I became very interested in treating my body with more natural therapies and supplements.

I decided to go on to nursing school and became an RN in 2015. Throughout my medical career, I’ve worked in long-term care, hospital settings, and medical clinics.

I currently work at a nonprofit pregnancy clinic in addition to Essential Infusions Plus.

I have always felt Western medicine was lacking in its approach to health care. There are many alternative medicine therapies that can be used in conjunction with Western medicine to bring healing and wellness to people.

I’m so excited to be part of Essential Infusions Plus and put those therapies into action.

I find so much joy in helping people in their journey to health and wellness. I believe God has given our bodies the amazing ability to heal itself and the holistic approach is the answer.

I’m on my own journey to becoming healthier from the inside.

I believe finding the root causes of our health struggles will lead us on a better path to wellness.

I believe complete healing comes from God, but we have a personal responsibility to care for our own minds, bodies, and spirits.

I love the aesthetic side of EIP too! We can help you look great and feel great. I look forward to meeting you and working with you on your health journey.

I’m Brooke. Happily married to my husband Rich for 24 years. Proud momma to two adult children.

I worked as a radiographer for over twenty years in the traditional hospital setting focusing on patient care and relationships.

After much prayer and seeking, I decide it was time to leave thatsetting and move on to something else. That’s where Essential Infusions Plus comes in.

I have always taken the more natural approach to my and my family’s health. I consider alternative and functional medicine to be the first line of defense when choosing health care.

I am so glad to be a part of the EIP team.

Come and say hi. You never know what you might learn, and I’ll take good care of you.❤️
